Tale
Two women with different lives connect. One struggles to survive after her mother forces her out, while the other runs a thriving company. I usually don't start a series unless I'm pretty sure I'm going to like it, as I usually have to finish them even if they're not good. So here I am after finishing Beauty in Black, reminding myself to be more discerning in the future. I put this on as background material and barely made it through the first episode. It took me a day or two, but I got there to finish the series. I admit it gets a little nicer over time, but only a little. It's repetitive and shoddy, and there's really only 1.5 remotely likable characters here. The acting isn't great, the story has a lot of redundant aspects and a lot of boring stereotypes. I'll definitely be back for a second season, but I'm guessing it'll be more of the same?
